A review of our 1st three weeks back on site

We had 2 inspections to get ready for on day 2!- cavity & flashing
It was important to get on with the work on day to be ready for the inspector the next day.

We checked that the cavity system was completed

This diagram shows how any moisture is directed away from the building via the head flashings

we got our head flashings on and sealed with aluband,  followed by vermin strip to seal the cavity around these areas.

...and when we finally got them: we siliconed the plastic flashing dams in place to make sure any water that may travel down the cavity or the weatherboards, onto head flashing would travel out and away from the building & not back into the cavity








...and yes check out the black stain coming off our hands and onto everything we touch_______nearly 3 months and still not dry!!!!!  It's really important to keep cleaning that stain off the joinery: if we leave it on there the sun and time can stain the powder coat finish.
